The team from Deloitte visited Amsterdam in early July 2024 for their annual company outing. The organizers were looking for something extraordinary, so we arranged a privately chartered sailing trip on the historic lake Ijsselmeer (pssst.. it is also the biggest lake of the Netherlands!). Due to it’s stable wind conditions and ist proximity to Amsterdam, this lake is the ideal destination for an excilerating sailing trip.

Around midday, the sailing trip started with a private pick-up by our 3 hosts that accompanied the team to the dock. Due to the groups tight schedule, we coordinated with the shipping company to secure a private docking point centrally located on the IJ canal in Amsterdam. This was carefully chosen in alignment with the location of the hotel, which we had also strategically selected for its immediate proximity to the water.

The group was welcomed there by Skipper Joort, our event manager, and their requested champagne. Once the impressive three-masted schooner “Elizabeth” had left the Amsterdam harbor, a selection of canapés was served. Per request, vegan and vegetarian options were included,, ensuring that everyone was happy and able to fully enjoy the 3-hour sailing trip on the famous IJsselmeer.

Private Dinner in a trendy location in Amsterdam Noord

In the early evening, the “Elizabeth” returned to Amsterdam. To ensure a seamless transition to their evening programme, we arranged another special docking point in Amsterdam Noord. Upon arrival in the hip and artsy north, the group was warmly welcomed by our hosts and personally escorted to the dinner venue, located in the industrial yet trendy NDSM Wharf.

Privacy was a non-negotiable for the group, so we reserved a private VIP area for their dinner which consisted of a curated 4-course menu and complementary wine pairing. For the extra special touch, we organised an acoustic trio that provided a gentle jazz backdrop throughout the evening.

Following the successful dinner, the Deloitte group was picked up directly at the restaurant by a fleet of minivans that ensured a relaxed return to their hotel. From start to finish, the entire team was able to sit back, relax, and leave the coordination in the hands of our experienced hosts and event managers.
