A unique company trip via river cruise

The planning

Planning for Volksbank Heinsberg’s unique team event began back in spring 2024 with a visit by the two organisers to our beautiful canal city. During a personal planning meeting in the city centre, our event managers went through all their wishes and provided detailed, tailored advice. Within a short space of time, an individual programme with a smooth schedule was created.

A special feature of this company outing was the journey there: The friendly Volksbank team arrived by river cruise ship in November 2024. As we are always up-to-date with Amsterdam’s port regulations, we were able to arrange the best suited dock, pick-up on site, bus transfers smooth coordination of the groups diverse day acitivites.

The event

Show time! At the beginning of November 2024, the Volksbank team’s river cruise ship arrived in Amsterdam early in the morning. In order to provide all participants with a programme tailored to their individual interests, a selection of our bestselling tours and acitvities was provided, which included a historical inner city tour, an Anne Frank tour, a bicycle tour (does it get any more Dutch?), a canal cruise in a luxurious and authentic salon boat, an informative red light district tour, as well as guided tours through Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum.

At a day event, time is of the essence: To ensure smooth operations and sufficient free time, the tours were skilfully spread out over the morning, midday and afternoon.

Following our recommendation, most participants opted for the canal cruise, which is always a very sociable experience, especially for company outings in Amsterdam. The group got the opportunity for personal exchange while enjoying the exciting live commentary by our city guide. Chilled, unlimited drinks were certainly provided – an all-round enjoyable highlight of the team event!
